Autopsy planned in death of inmate charged in slaying of 2 Mississippi police officers.

An investigator in Mississippi has said a man charged with capital murder in the killing last May of two Hattiesburg police officers has died, after being found unconscious in his jail cell. Marvin Banks, 30, was arrested in May alongside his girlfriend, Joanie Calloway, 22, and charged with two counts of capital murder for the fatal shooting of two police officers, Benjamin Deen and Liquori Tate, at a traffic stop in Hattiesburg, Forrest County. Nick Calico with the Forrest County Sheriff’s office says 30-year-old Marvin Banks was found unresponsive in his cell in the county jail Friday evening. Banks was charged with one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and with grand theft for fleeing in the police cruiser after the shooting.
