Ryan Cox, 31, of New York City told the Los Angeles Times that he was near the store, looking at Twitter on his phone, when he saw a retweet about the shooting. “I walked around the corner, and there was a little bit of chaos,” Cox said, as police rushed past him and crowds milled in confusion.Gunfire erupted inside a crowded Home Depot in Chelsea on Sunday afternoon, killing one person and sending droves of shoppers — stocking up for the impending snow storm — fleeing for their lives, law-enforcement sources said. Another witness heard someone scream “F–k you!” before the shots were fired at about 2:40 p.m. at the store on West 23rd Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues, sources said.

Update, 3:25 p.m. – A police source told the New York Daily News that the shooter shot another man in aisle 12 of the store and then shot himself.According to the News, the shooter is dead; the status of his victim is “unclear.”
