5 Killed In Crash Of Light Plane That Flew From San Jose Airport.

BAKERSFIELD (CBS SF) — Five bodies have been recovered from the wreckage of a private plane that crashed near Bakersfield Saturday afternoon after taking off from a small airport in San Jose, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office. Saturday, about three hours after receiving an alert from the Federal Aviation Administration about a missing plane that was last detected an estimated 10 miles south of the city, sheriff’s Cmdr. Personnel from the National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA are at the crash site and the incident remains under investigation, according to Gregor. © Copyright 2015 by CBS San Francisco and Bay City News Service.

A meteorologist with the National Weather Service in nearby Hanford said it was rainy and cloudy in the area south of Bakersfield around the time the plane went off radar.
