8-month-old found dead in car at Walmart parking lot.

No one at the day care noticed that the 8-month-old was never taken out his car seat in the family SUV when the rest of his siblings were dropped off Wednesday morning. An 8-month-old baby boy was found dead in the parking lot of a Walmart in northeast Ohio after he was left in a car by two family members for nearly 10 hours.

Police received a 911 call at around 5.30pm Wednesday that the boy was discovered unresponsive in an SUV by his grandmother, a Macedonia Walmart employee. There it remained until 11am, when the boy’s grandmother got int the SUV and drove to work without realizing the child was still in the back seat, reported NewsNet5.

At 5:30 p.m., when the baby’s three siblings arrived home from day care without their brother, the child’s mother called his grandmother — and the police — in a panic. That’s when the older women went outside to check her car. “There was a large crowd here before and they were shocked,” Yakopovich said, speaking from the scene. “We’re all shocked.
