California man suspected of killing parents in Sonoma County home in custody.

SEBASTOPOL, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say they have detained the son and lone suspect in the slaying of a Northern California couple found stabbed to death inside their home. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said 34-year-old Nathan Alexander Wilson was taken into custody around 4:30 p.m. local time, after someone called into the Mendocino Sheriff’s Office saying they saw his truck parked along Tomki Road in the Redwood Valley area of Mendocino County.A manhunt is underway for a man suspected of killing his parents Monday morning at their residence in the Twin Hills area of unincorporated Sonoma County outside Sebastopol, according to the sheriff’s office. When first approached by police, officers said the man lied about his name, but the Ukiah PD Officers identified Wilson by the California Driver’s License in his pocket. Wilson is being held in the Mendocino County Jail and awaits extradition to Sonoma County to face charges in the murder of his parents, David Wilson and Adrianne Chapin.

Cecile Focha says Nathan Wilson was arrested after a person called authorities and reported seeing his pickup truck parked in Redwood Valley, a community north of Ukiah. Deputies responded to a home outside of Sebastopol, Calif. after receiving a report that a relative thought his nephew had just killed his brother and sister-in-law, KTVU reported. In a 911 call, the relative said he believed Nathan Wilson had killed them because he had seen him at the property covered in blood, the sergeant said.
