Cleveland man arrested in fatal shooting of 5-month-old girl.

CLEVELAND (AP) — Authorities say they’ve arrested a 19-year-old Cleveland man in the fatal shooting of a 5-month-old girl who was in the back seat of a car while her mother and grandmother drove to a grocery store for birthday cake supplies. A bullet pierced Aavielle’s torso while she rode in a car on East 143rd Street near Kinsman Road with her mother, grandmother and another child, police said. Lawrence Hilliard, who was wanted by the Cleveland Police Department for tampering with evidence, was taken into custody at E. 145th Street and Spear Avenue, the same location the shooting took place. “The death of a child is something no family should have to endure, and nothing we do can bring baby Aavielle back to her family,” U.S. We do hope that the arrest of Davon Holmes brings some peace to the Wakefield family.” Anyone with information concerning any wanted fugitive can contact the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-492-6833.
