FBI sex trafficking crackdown: 7 rescued, 9 arrested in Georgia.

Five juveniles were recovered and seven alleged pimps were arrested in Sacramento, Fairfield and Fresno during a recent nationwide operation by law enforcement agencies targeting human trafficking.

DENVER (AP/CBS4) — Authorities in Colorado and Wyoming say they’ve rescued 20 teenage victims and arrested seven pimps as part of an annual crackdown on child sex trafficking.UNITED STATES (CBSDFW.COM) – Operation Cross Country, a nationwide law enforcement action, which focused on underage victims of prostitution, recovered 149 sexually exploited children last week.

And prosecutors have obtained more than 2,000 convictions of pimps and others associated with these trafficking crimes, including at least 15 cases that have resulted in life sentences. This year’s enforcement action, coordinated through 73 of the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Forces—which include federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies—was conducted nationwide in 135 cities. These operations resulted in the arrest of 90 adults for various offenses, including probation violations and prostitution-related charges, officials said. More than 500 law enforcement officials took part in sting operations in hotels, casinos, truck stops, and other areas frequented by pimps, prostitutes, and their customers. In Fairfield, the FBI, Fairfield Police Department, Solano County Sheriff’s Office and the Vallejo Police Department recovered one child and arrested two alleged pimps.
