Donald Trump has Univision anchor removed from new conference.

DUBUQUE, Iowa — Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump had an extended argument with the news anchor from a Hispanic television network, after he initially had the anchor escorted from a news conference.During a press conference Tuesday in Iowa, Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump and journalist Jorge Ramos got into a spat that resulted in Ramos being escorted out by security. Trump had a member of his security detail remove Jorge Ramos, the Miami-based anchor for Univision, from the conference room after Ramos stood up and began asking pointed questions about the billionaire’s immigration proposal. Security officers physically escorted Ramos out of the event, with Trump saying it wasn’t anything personal. “I don’t mind if he comes back,” Trump said, adding, “He is obviously a very emotional person.” Ramos was allowed back in minutes later, and proceeded to pepper the loud-mouthed billionaire businessman with questions about his comments about “anchor babies,” his plans to build a giant wall along the U.S.

Trump has proposed ending birthright citizenship, a constitutionally protected right that declares that children born in the U.S. are automatically citizens. Ramos continued, though, prompting Trump to repeatedly, and with growing agitation, tell him to “sit down.” Ramos then protested that he “had a right to ask a question.” Trump responded: “No you don’t. Go back to Univision.” Ramos — who works at Univision and Fusion — continued to ask his question, raising his voice so it could be heard above Trump’s.

That’s what they are, ‘illegal immigrants.'” Trump was able to save some ire for another journalist, Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, saying she owed him an apology for the “totally inappropriate” questions she asked him at a debate several weeks ago. “She’s a small element of my life,” he said. “I don’t care about Megyn Kelly.” Catherine Garcia
