Amber Alert Canceled After 2-Year-Old Abducted at Gunpoint Found Safe; Father, Mother in Custody.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles police say an Amber Alert has been issued for a 2-year-old girl whose father took her at gunpoint from a county social worker during a supervised visit. According to LAPD Officer Mike Lopez, Issa took his daughter — of whom he does not have custody — to a car and told a DCFS worker, “Don’t make me shoot you.

Police learned Issa was in the Westlake area with his daughter from the property manager at his residence in the 300 block of Rampart Boulevard, Vandersall said. He was accused of taking his daughter, Lanees Issa, at gunpoint about 2 p.m. in Chatsworth during a scheduled supervised visit at a Department of Children and Family Services office, police said. The child had been earlier taken from her father and mother and placed with a foster family because of neglect and drug abuse issues, police said at an evening news conference in Los Angeles. The mother, Wesam Abdelfattah, is believed to be a person of interest and police are seeking to question her regarding the alleged abduction, Lopez said.
