WINDSOR, Colo. (CBS4) – The FBI is assisting the Windsor Police Department with the investigation of a bicycle rider who was shot and killed on the side of a rural road in Windsor.

The shooting occurred at approximately 10 a.m. as the bicyclist was traveling northbound on County Road 15 near County Road 72 northwest of Windsor Lake. “The victim was found by a passing motorist and emergency personnel were called to the scene at which time the individual was pronounced dead,” police said in a statement. At a news conference Monday evening police said they don’t have a suspect and they’re looking at all possibilities such as road rage, a random shooting, or if it’s related to windows being shot out on Interstate 25.
