$50M Settlement In Class Action Lawsuit Against Comcast Approved By Judge.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A federal judge in Philadelphia has approved a $50 million class-action settlement between cable TV giant Comcast and its customers. Comcast customers sued in 2003, claiming Comcast and other cable providers swapped customers in order to gain a monopoly that enabled Comcast to raise prices and limit viewer choices. Those who did the same but currently pay the cable giant for service can get a $15 bill credit or other offerings, such as six free pay-per-view movies or two free months of The Movie Channel.
