Did Michelle Obama Channel The Good Wife’s Alicia at the State of the Union Address?.

The First Lady looked sleek and powerful in a gray Michael Kors suit during President Obama’s Tuesday, Jan. 20’s State of the Union address — just like Julianna Margulies’ Good Wife character Alicia Florrick did when she wore the very same outfit in court! Eagle-eyed fashion observers noticed immediately that Michelle Obama’s gray, tweed jacked with its distinctive wide collar had taken center stage before, this time on the shoulders of Marguilies’ character in Season 5 of the popular CBS drama. The Good Wife costume designer Daniel Lawson was behind the fashion choice for Florrick. “This stand-up exaggerated collar was definitely a departure from her usual silhouette,” Lawson told Instyle during a discussion of Margulies’ courtroom fashion. “You still got a sense of her body but this shape made her seem really strong.” Looking equally strong, Obama’s sense of style clearly pleased designer Kors, who tweeted his approval as photographs of the first lady’s style choice emerged. Paulina Gretzky and her golfer pro fiance Dustin Johnson have welcomed their first baby into the world — making retired hockey legend Wayne Gretzky a grandpa!

The baby boy was born on Monday, January 19, and the news was announced via a statement released by Johnson’s management company late on Tuesday, January 20. “Paulina and I are happy to announce the arrival of our baby boy, who was born in Los Angeles on Monday morning,” Johnson wrote in the statement. “Both Paulina and the baby are healthy, resting comfortably and in great spirits! Archie Panjabi – has boosted the profile of costume designer Dan Lawson, who has collaborated with a London-based company on togs for business women and is even designing accessories with a New York jewelry company. Just before 8pm ET, senior White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer teased his audience with a variation of Obama’s 2008 campaign slogan and a picture of a tan suit. The couple’s baby joy is much-needed good news for Johnson, 30, who took a leave of absence from competitive golf last July to “seek professional help for personal challenges.” He has denied that cocaine use was the reason.

Pfeiffer chastised the media industry for its immediate response to his Tuesday night Tweet: “Everyone visit the Obama library years from now, pull all the reporter emails on the tan suit tweet and then decide whether to laugh or cry.” Republican senator Joni Ernst, of Iowa, wore camouflage-print heels before her rebuttal speech. In a new interview with Sports Illustrated, the sports pro revealed his was well on the way to getting his life back together, with the help of his future wife and her supportive family. “Over these past four or five months I’ve really grown up,” he told the magazine. “I am starting to become the person I want my kids to look up to.” Either Tara Reid left a spare bikini bottom or top at home, or she was having way too much fun to realize her beach ensemble didn’t quite match when she shared photos on her Instagram page on Jan. 20.

Ernst is the only female combat veteran to serve in the US Senate and her speech is expected to criticize Obama’s military actions. “What’s with Paul Ryan’s beard?” the DC media asked when the latest session of Congress began earlier this month. The Sharknado star, 39, enjoyed Miami’s ocean breeze in a light blue Hawaiian-themed bikini top worn with zebra-print bikini bottoms, which made for a rather puzzling ensemble.
