Arrest made in death of 7-year-old Kentucky girl who disappeared at football game.

Police in Kentucky arrested on Friday a married father of five in the death of 7-year-old Gabriella Doolin whose body was found in a creek during a football game. Gabriella Doolin got separated from her parents while watching a peewee football game at Allen County High School in Scottsville, near the Tennessee border, on Saturday night. Kentucky State Police announced Friday they had arrested 38-year-old Timothy Madden of Scottsville in the little girl’s death, which was ruled a homicide earlier this week.

Her parents immediately asked a stadium official to announce her name over the loudspeakers, NBC affiliate WSMV reported. “We quit and the entire community started looking for her. More than 500 people in the tight-knit community gathered Sunday night for a vigil with Gabby’s parents Brian and Amy Doolin to honor and remember their little girl. Members of the Scottsville community lined the streets holding pink and blue balloons to release as a hearse drove by carrying girl. ‘We are a great city, a great community,’ he said. ‘We love one another.

But it’s a constant reminder that evil has no borders or boundaries.’ ‘Our children are safe going to school,’ he wrote. ‘This terrible tragedy is being treated as an isolated incident and we do not feel there is an ongoing threat.’
