In December, NYPD officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were assassinated in their patrol car in Brooklyn hours after the shooter Ismaaiyl Brinsley posted that he was “putting wings on pigs today.” The Instagram post included the hashtag #ShootThePolice.
