Clinton gives up server to Justice Department.

Hillary Clinton’s problems don’t seem to be going away. Indian-origin Republican presidential aspirant Bobby Jindal today attacked Hillary Clinton, saying the Democratic frontrunner is just a single email away from prison after she signed a sworn declaration that she has turned in all of her government emails. “Hillary Clinton is already under investigation by the FBI.According to the results of a Monmouth University survey released Wednesday morning, 52 percent of registered voters think that Clinton’s emails should be investigated in a criminal probe, while 41 percent think it should not be.WASHINGTON — Hillary Rodham Clinton’s presidential campaign casts her decision to turn over her personal email server to the Justice Department as cooperating with investigators.Hillary Clinton is turning over to federal authorities the private computer server she used to handle her emails when she served as secretary of state, an unexpected move and an attempt to quash concerns that her unorthodox approach included insufficient safeguards to protect government secrets.

Aside from poll numbers showing her slipping in Iowa against potential competitors, she has not been able to figure out how to respond either to her e-mail scandal or the consequences of her foreign policy. Of all groups polled, Republicans are following the Clinton email story most closely, with 78 percent saying they have heard a lot about it, compared to 56 percent of Democrats and independents each. Two emails that traversed Clinton’s personal system were subsequently given one of the government’s highest classification ratings, a Republican lawmaker said. Federal investigators have begun looking into the security of Clintons’ email setup amid concerns from the inspector general for the intelligence community that classified information may have passed through the system.

Clinton has drawn criticism for using a private server and personal email to conduct government business during her tenure at the helm of the State Department. There is no evidence she used encryption to prevent prying eyes from accessing the emails or her personal server. “It’s about time,” House Speaker John Boehner said in a statement after the front-runner for the Democratic nomination announced that she was directing that the server be relinquished. “Secretary Clinton’s previous statements that she possessed no classified information were patently untrue.

At another campaign event in Iowa, Jindal warned that if Hillary Clinton is elected, which he called the re-election of President Barack Obama, “this country is done. The poll was conducted by telephone from July 30-Aug. 2, surveying 1,033 adults nationwide, with an overall margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.

Her mishandling of classified information must be fully investigated.” Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said: “All this means is that Hillary Clinton, in the face of FBI scrutiny, has decided she has run out of options. She also has said the server was wiped clean of more than 31,000 emails that involved personal matters such as wedding plans, vacations and yoga routines.

Hillary Clinton’s use of her private email account linked to a server in her New York home for her work as America’s top diplomat came to light in March and drew fire from political opponents who accused her of sidestepping transparency and record-keeping laws. Clinton has “pledged to cooperate with the government’s security inquiry, and if there are more questions, we will continue to address them,” campaign spokesman Nick Merrill said Tuesday. Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. “That’s a long time for top secret classified information to be held by an unauthorized person outside of an approved, secure government facility,” added Sen. Since her reliance on private email was revealed in March, polls in crucial swing states show that increasing numbers of voters say Clinton is not honest and trustworthy, in part, because of her use of private emails. Kendall was not permitted to possess classified information contained in some of the emails, said a US official who was not authorized to speak publicly.

Clinton’s attorney had already supplied the 30,000 emails contained on the thumb drives to investigators in December, but had retained copies of them on the thumb drives. In March, Clinton said she exchanged nearly 60,000 emails during her four years in the Obama administration, half of which were personal and had been discarded. In a blistering attack on her lack of vigilance, Jeb Bush at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library on Tuesday night told the audience: So why was the success of the surge followed by a withdrawal from Iraq, leaving not even the residual force that commanders and the joint chiefs knew was necessary? A subsequent review by federal government watchdogs found four emails out of a sample of 40 that contained classified material, although the information hadn’t been marked classified at the time it was sent. Like the president himself, she had opposed the surge, then joined in claiming credit for its success, then stood by as that hard-won victory by American and allied forces was thrown away.

It didn’t exist before the invasion,” he said. “It emerged in no small part as a result of President Bush’s failed strategy, and it gained strength by signing up former Sunni military officers, officers from the very army the Bush administration disbanded.” Huh?! Indeed, as Jeb Bush’s campaign was quick to point out, Clinton recognized that at least in Syria — another failure of the Obama-Clinton policies — a vacuum (left by hers truly, by the way) allowed the Islamic State to take hold. With subpar political skills and lack of preparedness to answer tough questions, Clinton’s only hope may be a Republican nominee who is so scary and so lacking in credibility that the country will choose her by default.
