Cops fear man killed 7-year-old son, fed him to pigs.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – A Kansas man is being held on $10 million bond after police were made aware of his missing 7-year-old son and found unidentified human remains on his property. Investigators looking into the death of a 7-year-old boy in Kansas City, Kansas, say they fear the remains found in a barn are those of the boy after his father, 44-year-old Michael A.

Two women who used to babysit the couple’s children told KCTV that the living conditions in the home were deplorable. “Their house was just filthy”. Trash everywhere, dried food all over the house.” After a tip of a possible body, police searched a barn on the property and found the decomposing body of a child.

Jones was charged with battery and assault on his wife, but he is also being charged with “torturing or cruelly beating” his 7-year-old son, alleged to have occurred sometime between May 1 and Sept. 28, KCTV-TV reported. KMBZ’s Bill Grady was at the Wyandotte County courthouse and reports that Michael Jones, 44, was formally read charges alleging aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery with a deadly weapon for allegedly firing a gun at his wife. While there, investigators were told Jones’ son had been missing “for an extended period of time.” Police didn’t say who told officers about the boy, but say human remains were later found in Jones’ barn.

The women also said that Jones’ wife added pigs to the barn in September – the latter end of the period at which investigators say the child likely died.
