‘It’s my baby!': Woman rips infant from mom’s womb, parades as her own.

The unhinged Bronx woman who stabbed an expectant mother and then ripped the unborn child out of the dying woman’s womb claims she was trying to “save the baby” after knifing the mother in self-defense, police sources said Saturday.A 22-year-old pregnant Bronx woman was fatally stabbed Friday afternoon – the victim of a possible baby-snatching, according to multiple reports – but her child survived.

Detectives discovered a knife and placenta in the blood-spattered apartment building when they responded to an emergency call from the victim’s boyfriend, who walked in to discover the scene, authorities said. The 22-year-old victim – who detectives said appeared to have been pregnant – was found with multiple stab wounds to the torso in a house in the Bronx, New York City.

‘When the cops arrived, the perpetrator tried to claim that it was her child that was there, saying that she gave birth at the time of the struggle.’ The police officers were called to Wade’s home in Wakefield at around 2:20 p.m. by her boyfriend, Angel Praylow, who had been summoned by Wade to the scene of the grisly slaying. Another woman – named locally as Ashley Wade following her arrest – was clutching a blood stain newborn baby and told emergency services that she had given birth during the dispute. Though Praylow thought his new daughter would arrive on the 15th, Wade had told neighbors she was due to give birth next week, said Mattie Sledge, a friend of Wade’s landlord. “She (Wade) said she was due next Monday. The grisly case has shocked local authorities in the US state and investigators said they were still trying to work out what happened during the assault.

The couple was very nice.” “Due Date: Dec. 2, 2015,” read the registry listing, on which the couple sought a pink folding hamper, pink flannel receiving blankets and pink, bird-bedecked crib bedding. Police declined in the statement to name the suspect or the victim, pending family notification of her death, or elaborate on a possible motive or connection between the two. “It appeared the fetus of the 22-year-old woman was surgically removed by the suspect who is in custody right now,” Councilman Andy King said at the scene, according to NBC New York.

Sutton’s family declined to talk to reporters Saturday morning as they left Montefiore Medical Center, where the baby, named Genesis, was recovering. In the days before the murder, Wade said she and Sutton socialized at Applebees in Co-op City and even went shopping at an area Toys R’ Us in anticipation of Sutton’s baby.
