Thick plumes of black smoke covered the Las Vegas Strip on Saturday after a fire broke out at a luxury hotel, injurying one person, fire officials and witnesses said.Clark County Fire spokeswoman Sandra Baker said: ‘Fire crews are currently on scene of a fire on the outside pool area where trees and pool cabanas were on fire. The Clark County Fire Department said on Twitter that it was fighting a two-alarm fire at 3708 South Las Vegas Boulevard, the address of the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Less than 15 minutes after posting a picture on Twitter of the flames and smoke rising from the hotel, Courtney Cyr, a guest at the nearby Aria Resort and Casino, posted another image of the charred remains it left behind.
