After killing wife, Detroit Man Gets 45-80 Years Jail Term, While Kids Remain.

DETROIT (AP) — A Detroit man was sentenced to between 45 and 80 years in prison on Tuesday for the slaying of his estranged wife last year, though their two children remain missing. With tears in her eyes, Alicia Fox’s mother delivered a victim impact statement during her son-in-law’s sentencing today, saying he has “destroyed so many lives.” “This devil disguised himself as an angel,” Travae Fox said of Erin Justice. “Came right in our homes and ate from our plates and drank from our glasses.” Justice showed no emotion in the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice and stared ahead as Fox spoke about how she, along with her family, has suffered from her daughter’s death and the disappearance of her two grandchildren, who remain missing.

Justice at first declined the offer to plead guilty to second-degree murder instead of face trial on charges including first-degree murder, but accepted the plea agreement earlier this month. Although it has been confirmed that Erin Justice was responsible for the death of Alicia Fox, the kids are still missing and a $3,000 reward has been offered to find them. According to authorities, Kristian and Kaylah were both last cited at a family Memorial Day celebration on Saturday May 24, 2014 at an aunt’s residence. Two weeks after Alicia’s murder, her decomposed body was discovered and retrieved from a vacant house, which is about six miles away from her own house.

The investigation into their disappearance is ongoing and Assistant Wayne County Prosecutor Trisha Gerard vowed to “continue to seek justice” for the Fox family.
