Boy Turns In $8,000 Found At Salem Park To Police; Money Returned To Owner.

A Massachusetts boy returned $8,000 in cash he found on a Salem playground just moments after he struck it rich on the slide during a Saturday play date with his uncle. “I ran up the slide, and at the top I looked in the corner and there was this black check book, and I opened it up and I saw $8,000 in it, and I brought it back down to my uncle,” Aiden told WBZ. Aiden Wright, of Lowell, was taking a final run down a slide at Memorial Park in Salem Saturday morning when he saw a black checkbook, according to his uncle Daniel. The man said he told his nephew that he was ‘‘going to learn an important lesson today.’’ Elias Santos, a contractor who had been at the park with his kids that morning, called shortly thereafter to say he was on his way to pick up the cash.
