Jewish Frat Expels 4 for Mocking Muslims.

LAWRENCE, Kan. – A fraternity at the University of Kansas has kicked out four members after a video posted on social media showed someone mocking Muslims.

GAINESVILLE (CBSMiami/AP) — A University of Florida fraternity is closing after allegations its members insulted and spit at a group of disabled military veterans at a Panama City Beach resort. Zeta Beta Tau chapter president Jason Finkelstein said Wednesday that the traditionally Jewish fraternity learned of the video April 10 and expelled the members the next day. The closing of Zeta Beta Tau’s fraternity comes a week after the school suspended the fraternity, which expelled three of its members after finding out about their inappropriate behavior. Some witnesses claimed the fraternity members even tore the U.S. flags off veterans’ cars and urinated on them. “We are absolutely disgusted by the accusations that have been made regarding the behavior of members of this chapter,” ZBT International Fraternity President Matthew J. The school previously said it was charging the fraternity with obscene, behavior, public intoxication, theft, causing physical or other harm and damage to property.

The video—which can be seen here—shows a man with a blanket wrapped around his head saying “Allahu akbar” while others crack up laughing, the University Daily Kansan reports. Rubins said in a news release. “ZBT will work diligently to demonstrate that the alleged behavior of a few does not represent the values of the many.” The fraternity had previously been placed on probation after university officials received separate complaints of pledges being forced to stay up all night and perform physical acts that made them vomit, The Sun reported. The organization was founded in New York City in 1898 as a fraternity for Jewish students, who at the time were not allowed into other Greek organizations. The Warrior Beach group says the frat members were extremely drunk and were urinating on flags, vomiting off of balconies and were verbally abusive while the two groups were at the Laketown Wharf Resort last weekend.
