5 Days of Torture: Mom helped LI man kidnap ex-girlfriend, 11-month-old son, police say.

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (AP) — A New York woman has been charged along with her son of kidnapping his former girlfriend and their baby and holding them captive for five days.LONG ISLAND, NY – The First Squad reports the arrest of two individuals for Kidnapping that occurred on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Rockville Centre.

Nassau County police Inspector Kenneth Lack said the 20-year-old woman was lured to the home by a text message from 51-year-old Yolanda Gilreath, the child’s grandmother, saying she wanted to see the 11-month-old boy. When the woman arrived, 20-year-old Malachi Blaylock, the boy’s father and Gilreath’s son, grabbed the child and forced the woman into a bedroom, authorities said. “It was a horrible experience. Blaylock faces 11 charges ranging from kidnapping to strangulation; Gilreath was charged with kidnapping, hindering prosecution, unlawful imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a child.

Upon her arrival she was met at the door by the child’s father, Malachi Blaylock, 20 of the same address, whom she has an order of protection against. Blaylock grabbed his son and told the victim to get into bedroom, where he pushed her to the ground, beat her, and told her she was trapped, officials said. He passed the baby to Gilreath and pushed the baby’s mother to the floor, telling her she couldn’t leave and punching her in the face and body, police said. Over the course of the next 5 days the victim was held against her will while being beaten, stabbed in the hand with a pair of scissors, and threatened with a gun. On Wednesday, Blaylock and Gilreath moved the woman and child to another location in Hempstead, and it was there that the victim managed to call her mother when her alleged captors were out.
