A man ‘fixated’ on a female wrestler was shot at the WWE performance center today.

According to a report from in Orlando, it was the third time in 30 days authorities had encountered the unidentified man, who is said to be fixated on a female wrestler. According to , two nearby plain-clothes deputies responded to a trespassing call at the facility, which is near Colonial Drive and Forsyth Road, at around 1:30 p.m.

Following a shooting involving a sheriff’s deputy at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla., a person has been hospitalized with a “life-threatening injury.” A press conference with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department revealed the individual is a 29-year-old Hispanic male that has “been somewhat fixated on one of the wrestlers, a female wrestler.” When deputies were called to the scene it was believed the man possessed a knife. “At some point the individual charged one of the deputies,” a sheriff’s department representative says. “The deputy retreated approximately 75-100 feet with his gun out” before firing. Orange County Sheriff Jerry Deming told WFTV that the suspect claimed he had a knife and then proceeded to charge at the officers, who then fired a single shot. The identity of the female wrestler the man is reportedly fixated on has not been disclosed, however there is a restraining order to keep the man away from the Performance Center. “There was some type of injunction that had been obtained, but that injunction had not been served on him yet,” the sheriff’s department says. I guess he came back!” #breaking #WWE — Shannon Butler (@SButlerWFTV) August 31, 2015 The shooting took place around 1 p.m.
