Immediate lock-down reported at San Antonio campus after alleged sightings of an armed individual.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — A brief lockdown has been lifted at a San Antonio university after a report of an armed person on campus turned out to be prompted by a sighting of a security guard. Margaret Garcia, a spokeswoman for the University of the Incarnate Word, said in a statement Tuesday that multiple agencies have responded to assist searching the campus and surrounding areas. Garcia says the university has advised students and others “to take caution if on campus” and that anybody not on campus should stay away while authorities search the area. The first call came in around 5:40pm, “from a female student who reported an unknown male, wearing all black, packing a rifle”, UIW Police Chief Robert Chavez said.
