Police investigate reports of punches at council meeting.

A small town council meeting in Indiana descended into violence Tuesday night when a debate about the fired town marshal apparently brought out the beast in civic-minded citizens. The political passions flew out of hand over a vote about whether to replace Hymera ex-marshal Darrick Cullison, who is suing the city for alleged wrongful termination, WTHI reported.

Joe Watts says no arrests have been made, but police are investigating what happened at the meeting Tuesday night in Hymera, 25 miles south of Terre Haute. Police made no arrests, but the brawl did lead to Cullison getting fired from yet another position, this one in the Sullivan County Jail, officials said.
