Two Virginia television journalists fatally shot in on-air attack.

The incident occurred at about 6:45 a.m. EST during a live broadcast in Bedford County, when shots could be heard, sending the reporter and the person she was interviewing screaming and ducking for cover. The governor said his arrest should be “imminent.” The suspect is being pursued, a CBS News affiliate in Richmond, Virginia, and Washington-based WTOP radio said.

Hurst tweeted Wednesday that the couple had been dating for nine months, and that they had just moved in together. “She was the most radiant woman I ever met. She loved her family, her parents and her brother,” he said in a tweet. “I am comforted by everyone at @WDBJZ,” he added in a later tweet. “We are a family.
