Authorities Study if Others Involved in Crime Spree Slayings.

RALEIGH, N.C. BUCKS COUNTY, P.A. – The Davidson County woman who deputies say was on the run with a double homicide suspect for nine days will appear in front of a Bucks County judge Monday. That first crime occurred in Thomasville, where deputies say Franklin shot and killed 82-year-old Davie McSwain and his 78-year-old wife, Joan McSwain. — North Carolina authorities are investigating whether accomplices may have helped a Carolinas crime spree suspect who later killed himself in a Pennsylvania motel room. They were in a Knights Inn hotel in Bensalem Township in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, the Bensalem Township Police Department said. “The Bucks County South SWAT Team responded and eventually made entry into the room”.

But right now, it’s unclear how the accusations against her are going to play out in court because there are still more questions that need to be answered. “Give her the full extent,” said Walt Royds. “I do believe that she knew what went on. If she can prove that, she would have a defense,” said Clifford. “She is going to have to convince 12 jurors that she did not know there had been a murder committed when she got in the car with him and took off for Pennsylvania,” he said. “The situation is evolving and still an active crime scene investigation and we expect to have more information by Sunday evening or Monday morning,” said Grice. Gunfire and a suicide in a hotel room in Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon ended the flight of a couple wanted in the Carolinas for double murder and string of robberies, police in Pennsylvania said.
