A Tulane University medical student was shot in the stomach after trying to help a woman seemingly being kidnapped into an SUV early Friday morning and New Orleans Police are searching for the alleged triggerman.US police in New Orleans, where the incident took place, said in a statement: “The victim explained to the suspect, repeatedly, that he did not have any cash. According to reports as Mr Gold writhed in pain, Cain attempted to shoot the Tulane University student in the head, glancing “furtively over his shoulder, shaking the malfunctioning weapon”.

Mr Gold survived the shooting and remains in critical condition while Cain, 21, of New Orleans, is wanted on charges of armed robbery, second-degree kidnapping and attempted first-degree murder. Police released the chilling video of the shooting of Gold, 25, early Friday in the city’s Lower Garden District and Mayor Mark Landrieu folowed Sunday with his vow to bring the would-be killer to justice.
