Ebony Monique Dickens, posting under the name Tiffany Milan, wrote on Facebook that “all black people should rise up and shoot at every white cop in the nation starting right now,” police say. An American mother has been arrested after she called for the “death to all white cops nationwide” on social media, following ugly clashes between police and black protesters in Baltimore. As police brutality protests turned to riots in Baltimore earlier this week, an Atlanta-area woman was arrested for allegedly inciting violence against cops with a Facebook post. — Police in East Point, Ga., have arrested a woman they said had been trying to incite people to kill all white police officers in a social media posting. I’m plotting now.” The post comes as racial tension boiled over in Baltimore when protests turned violent as rioters caused widespread damage throughout the city.

East Point police declined to comment on the post on Wednesday morning, but a press officer told the New York Daily News on Tuesday, “That’s 15 people that she’s talking about killing within a day or so, so whether she is serious or not that’s something that we have to take seriously.” Dickens’ threats came just as Baltimore mobilized National Guard troops after Freddie Gray’s funeral on Monday. The arrest comes amid rising racial tensions in Baltimore following the April 19 death of Freddie Gray, a 25-year-old black man who died from spinal injuries he suffered while in police custody. In December, NYPD officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were assassinated in their patrol car in Brooklyn hours after the shooter Ismaaiyl Brinsley posted that he was “putting wings on pigs today.” The Instagram post included the hashtag #ShootThePolice.
