CHP Reporting Woman Who Fell Or Jumped Off Bay Bridge May Have Been Seen Exiting Water.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Authorities are searching the water off the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge for a woman who either jumped or fell as she tried to evade police after crashing a stolen car. California Highway Patrol Officer Vu Williams tells San Francisco Bay Area news station KNTV-TV (http://bit.ly/1MjXVY8 ) that the woman was among three who ran from the crash on the bridge as officers responded early Wednesday. When an officer approached them, the woman who they they think was the driver was hanging on to the railing and then fell or jumped off and into the Bay. A lady that was contained in the automotive made her method to the guardrail whereas making an attempt to keep away from the officers after which fell off the bridge. The CHP reported just before 6 a.m. there was information a woman allegedly exited the water, just under two miles from location where the crash occurred.

It all started at 2:06 this morning, when a crash was reported in eastbound Bay Bridge traffic just east of the Treasure Island off-ramp, a CHP spokesperson says. As officers approached the women, one of them climbed the rail of the bridge, but “as the officer was about 50 yards away, she began to slip and fall,” CHP Sgt.
