The following press release is from KTM:
Progressive Insurance and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing have announced a deal for Progressive to become an official sponsor of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team for the SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) series, inclusive of AMA Supercross, AMA Pro Motocross, and the SMX Finals, for the remainder of the 2024 season and into the future.
As the nation’s leading motorcycle insurer, Progressive has been an instrumental supporter of the motorcycle community in the United States for decades and aligning with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team of Chase Sexton, Aaron Plessinger, Tom Vialle, and Julien Beaumer further strengthens Progressive’s connection to the community and the sport.
“As the No. 1 motorcycle insurer in the country, we have seen first-hand the enthusiasm the motorcycle community displays,” said Eric Doubler, Progressive Recreational Lines Business Leader. “We envy the passion and commitment these riders have to the sport and are excited to grow our involvement even more.”
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing is midway through what has been a highly competitive 2024 campaign to date, with two-time MX2 World Champion Vialle clinching the AMA Supercross 250SX East Championship at the Salt Lake City Finals in May, while last year’s 450SX Champion Sexton and fan favorite Plessinger have also both featured on the top step of the podium this season.
“We are thrilled to have Progressive Insurance come on board as an official sponsor of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team. It’s exciting when a non-endemic sponsor enters our sport, especially one as influential as Progressive, as it provides us the opportunity to better promote Supercross, Motocross, and our team to a wider range of potential fans. To have Progressive come on board with us is a great opportunity to grow not only the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team, but the entire sport.”
