Even Aussie Nicole Kidman Repped Red, White, and Blue to Watch Simone Biles

Nicole Kidman may be Australian, but c’mon, like she’s not gonna turn up to support Simone Biles? Yeah, Kidman and her husband Keith Urban are both from Down Unda, but at the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Oscar winner watched Team USA win gold at the women’s artistic gymnastics all-around finals in red, white, and blue, baby.

Specifically, red ballet flats, an off-white blouse, and classic blue jeans. ’Murica.

Now, you might be thinking, aren’t those also the colors of the Australian flag? And for that matter, the French flag? Well, sure, but for the Olympics, the Aussies are competing in green and yellow.

Kidman watched the gymnastics event alongside Urban and their two daughters, Faith Margaret and Sunday Rose, looking like she was having the time of her life.

On Instagram, she couldn’t come right out and say she’s converted to Americanism, but she uploaded a picture in which, right behind her on the jumbotron, you can see the team proudly waving the stars and stripes while waiting for their medals. Medals that, again, are gold.

Saur saurry, not trying to start a waur here, but the Olympics brings out the patriot in me. USA #1!

“So excited! So excited!” Kidman told the Associated Press as the event got underway.

Even if you’re not into America…or gymnastics…or sports at all…the power of Simone Biles is simply too great. Fellow A-listers like Serena Williams, Natalie Portman, Jason Kelce, Spike Lee, and Michael Phelps were all in the stands to see Team USA dominate, and we can expect more celebrity sightings as the Games continue (wisely, Nicole Kidman timed her attendance so that she could see Biles on a different day than her ex-husband Tom Cruise, who watched her a couple days prior).

But the Olympics are about fostering international ties, I think, so congratulations to all the athletes.

…mostly Simone Biles.
