On Tuesday (Aug. 27), Angel Reese announced her foray into the podcasting industry with “Unapologetically Angel.” She’ll be sharing episodes every Thursday, with the first slated to come out on Sept. 5.

Angel will be joined by a co-host — Emmy Award winner Maya Reese. The pair aren’t related, but they share the same big goals for their feature lineup. “I really want to have guests across all different industries on the show — sports, music, entertainment, business, creators and more,” the basketball player told Complex. “I’m definitely going to have to get my girls [Megan Thee Stallion], Latto and Cardi B on here.”

Angel has a great relationship with all three rappers. She made a cameo in Latto and Cardi B’s “Put It On Da Floor Again” video, in which the Bronx native paid homage to her alma mater: “I been ballin’ so damn hard, could’ve went to LSU, huh.”

The Sugar Honey Iced Tea creator also attended the power forward’s first WNBA game against the Dallas Wings. “I came [out here] for Angel Reese. I’m out!” Latto voiced in a clip of her hopping on a private jet to leave Texas.

Meanwhile, Angel made a surprise appearance during Megan’s headlining set at Lollapalooza on Aug. 1. “I can’t believe it,” the Grammy Award-winning musician reacted.

As for the “Unapologetically Angel” podcast, the eponymous host described it as “another way for me to connect with my fans and reach new audiences I wouldn’t necessarily have before.” She exclaimed, “I can’t wait to share a different side with listeners and have them come on this ride with me.”

The series will be a part of Playmaker HQ, which already houses Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart’s “Roommates Show,” Shaquille O’Neal’s “The Big Podcast,” and Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller’s “The OGs.”

In related news, Angel’s first of three exclusive drops with Reese’s candy launched on Aug. 21. The next release is expected to include a custom jersey with her No. 5 on it.
