As the proud parent of two kitties, I know how much joy the best gifts for cat lovers can bring to your life. I’ve given and received many amazing (sometimes cringy) feline-focused presents over the years—customized throw pillows and socks, stickers, magnets of cat butts, coasters, you name it. So when Glamour asked for a cat gift guide, I pounced on the opportunity to assemble my favorite presents for the person who can’t pass a cat on the street without stopping.

The trick to gifting is recognizing who you’re shopping for. In other words, are you gifting a cat mom or dad, or the animal itself? If it’s the latter, there are plenty of cat toys and accessories that’ll entertain the kitty while being entertaining to watch (like an avocado-shaped bed). There’s also thoughtfully-designed furniture that’s made for the pet’s comfort but that still looks stylish (like a woven wall hammock). You can’t go wrong with a personalized gift for a pet parent like a custom hat, sweatshirt, or necklace printed with their baby’s face or name. And of course, all feline fans will love a themed goodie like a coffee table book, printed tea towel, or notebook. (These make great Secret Santa and white elephant gifts, too).

Below are great cat lover gifts of all kinds and for every occasion, including presents I’ve tried myself—and ones I really hope my friends get for me.
