Lavar Keys is canon ball of energy on the football field. At 5-10 165 2026 dynamic high level Florida prospect is a nightmare when he gets the ball in his hands anywhere on the field. The DeMatha Catholic star receiver has been one of the most exciting players to watch. He joins a 2026 class that at this very moment is ranked number three in the country with 7 commits. We talked for High Level Sports Talk I told him how he reminds me of KJ Hamler. He said Penn State coach James Franklin said the same thing. He has the talent to be a very product talent at the pro level. He talked to me about his commitment to Penn State, An elite name he is recruiting to the Nittany Lions, What he would bring to an NFL franchise and more for NFL Draft Diamonds.

Leader: How was your trip to Penn State vs Ohio State?

Lavar: The trip was amazing. I was able to experience a big game and watch some of the best players in college football. The experience was amazing. The crowd was electric!! Wasn’t the outcome we wanted but on to the next.

Leader: What commits or Penn State players did you get to meet or talk to?

Lavar: Messiah Mickens, we already know each other, but just met newly Penn State commit Matt Sieg can’t wait to keep building good relationships with the guys so when time comes we can get straight to it.

Leader: Any recruits there that you got to talk to that you are trying to get to commit to Penn State or be interested?

Lavar: Well I’ve been targeting my dawg Immanuel Iheanacho trying to get him to come join the Nittany Lions.

Leader: We talked about Jahan Dotson who recently made a very nice acrobatic catch vs the Jacksonville jaguars. Did you get to watch the Eagles vs Jaguars game and did you see the catch?

Lavar: No I wasn’t able to watch the game because you know my commanders was playing at that time but I did see the catch and it was very spectacular

Leader: Let’s talk about his impact on you. You told me he was one of the reasons you committed to Penn State talk about that?

Lavar: Yessir Jahan Dotson just gave me a boost on why I should go to Penn State. We share the same size frame and his elite route running and scoring touchdowns in Beaver Stadium is just amazing and that’s just somewhere I see myself at.

Leader: You are a very explosive receiver talk about your 40 time. What was it the last time you clocked it? and what is your vertical?

Lavar: The last time I clocked a 40 was at Penn State where I ran a 4.34 hand clock and I vertical jumped a high 34

Leader: Why do you think you can impact at the pro level? Why would an NFL team want to draft Lavar Keys?

Lavar: I believe my speed and me knowing the game will take me a far ride on the pro level. An NFL team would want to draft me because I’m a great teammate and a guy that can make plays and help my team win in all ways.

Leader: Talk about why you wanted to play football?

Lavar: I love to play football because it’s something that’s deep in my heart that I can’t stop doing. It keeps me focused and busy and it turns me into a man.

Leader: Talk about growing up where were you born and raised? Are there any athletes in your family?

Lavar: I was born and raised in Landover Maryland in a 4 person household before pops passed away. Yes my big brother played college ball and arena and my little brother is playing football as well.

Leader: What NFL defensive back do you want to show your skills against? Who do you want to play?

Lavar: I want to go against Quinyon Mitchell and I want to play against Dallas Cowboys

Leader: Who is your favorite NFL team?

Lavar: Commanders

Leader: At this moment who do you feel is the NFLs best player?

Lavar: Jayden Daniels I don’t care what the haters say!!!!
