Direct Medical Programs Still Accepting Applications In 2024/25

Direct medical programs, often referred to as BS/MD programs, notoriously have deadlines early in the cycle. These programs offer a streamlined path for high school students to secure conditional acceptance in the partnered medical school. Due to the multi-step application process, the applications are often due early. Penn State University’s Premedical-Medical Program (PMM) and University of Pittsburgh’s Guaranteed Admissions Program (GAP) had especially early deadlines, with applications due by October 15. Similarly, many more direct medical programs require students to submit applications to the undergrad on November 1.

Some direct medical programs are still accepting applications.

For students who were either waiting for SAT or ACT scores to be finalized from late standardized testing exams, needing more time to write their essays, or wanting to add a few more schools to their list, there are still a few options available. Some of the listed programs have certain GPA, SAT, ACT, or residency requirements, making it essential to take the time to research each program to make sure you qualify.
