Eagles vs. Panthers Week 14 game preview and predictions
How could the Philadelphia Eagles possibly lose this game to the Carolina Panthers?
In cased you missed it, I offered some potential upset conditions over at Cat Scratch Reader.
But I really don’t believe the Eagles are going to lose this game.
I know the Panthers have been better recently. But I’m just not buying that Bryce Young is coming to Philly to ball out against the best defense in the NFL.
The Panthers are 0-10 in 10 career Young starts on the road. The Panthers have scored just 12.9 offensive points per game in those 10. And that’s with some obvious garbage time production included.
I’m not worried about Vic Fangio drawing up a plan to stop Young.
I’m also certainly not worried about Saquon Barkley being able to have a HUGE game against the NFL’s worst run defense. The Eagles faced the NFL’s best run defense last week and Barkley still had 23 carries for 107 yards and one touchdown against them. Barkley should be able to run all over a Panthers defense allowing 166.8 rushing yards per game.
Barkley is just 109 yards away from overtaking LeSean McCoy for sole possession of first place as the Eagles’ single-season rushing leader. He could feasibly reach that mark before halftime. I think he rips off several big runs in this one, taking it to the house multiple times.
The Eagles will win and they will win comfortably.
