SB Nation Reacts Survey: Who should start if Derek Carr cannot play this Sunday against the Commanders?
The New Orleans Saints will head into Week 15 back home in the dome to face Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders. Unfortunately, they may be without starting QB Derek Carr, who suffered a left-hand fracture in last Sunday’s game against the New York Giants.
Saints interim head coach Darren Rizzi said on Monday that Carr’s injury would not require surgery, and he will be “week-to-week.” Which leads to the question, if Carr cannot play on Sunday, who should start in his place: Jake Haener or Spencer Rattler? Rattler started for Carr earlier in the season after he suffered an oblique injury in Week 5 against the Chiefs, but Haener has served as the Saints’ backup QB since Derek Carr returned in Week 9.
