Cowboys injury report: Cooper Beebe returns to practice in full
After their decisive win against the Carolina Panthers, the Dallas Cowboys head home to prepare for a primetime matchup with another NFC South team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With all the injuries the Cowboys have sustained, including Zack Martin, Dak Prescott, and DeMarvion Overshown, somehow, there’s still a chance to make the postseason. After Wednesday’s practice, the Cowboys will try to patch things together to field the best team for Sunday night’s game. After the week’s first injury report, here’s where Dallas stands.
To open the week, Dallas’ offensive line is banged up. Chuma Edge (ankle) and T.J. Bass (thigh) did not practice today. However there is some positive news. Center Cooper Beebe (concussion) and Tyler Smith (ankle) were full participants Wednesday. On the defensive side, not practicing today were Mazi Smith (back), Nick Vigil (foot) and Trevon Diggs. Diggs is already expected to miss the remainder of the year so him not practicing is a formality before he ultimately goes to injured reserve. For those that were limited, CeeDee Lamb (shoulder), Jourdan Lewis (elbow), and Juanyeh Thomas (knee) took part in practice in some capacity.
The Buccaneers also have a few injuries to report in their secondary. Baker Mayfield, (knee) Antoine Winfield Jr. (knee) and Cade Otton (knee) did not practice today. Meanwhile, Mike Edwards (Hamstring) and Bucky Irving (back and hip) were limited today.
