As NASCAR heads to streaming, how to watch all of the action in 2025

Thanks to NASCAR’s latest broadcasting deal, racing fans will have quite the time navigating television schedules and the web to watch the action over this year’s race weekend. What was originally split exclusively between FOX Sports and NBC, now pushes race coverage to several outlets that will change throughout the 2025 season. We’re breaking down when and where you can find coverage this year. (Note: You might want to bookmark this for later.)

FOX

Like previous years, FOX will air the early portion of the season, beginning their coverage with the pre-season Clash and the season-opening Daytona 500. FOX will end their 2025 coverage races with the May All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro. In a departure from recent seasons, FOX will not have the rights to the Coke 600.

Prime

This is when things shake up. The Coke 600, Nashville, Michigan, Pocono, and NASCAR’s inaugural Cup race in Mexico City will all be streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime in an unprecedented first for the sport. Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be part of the broadcast team, following his departure from NBC.

TNT

TNT is returning after a decade away from the sport, grabbing a handful of summer races, also with Dale Jr. in the booth. They will take over from Prime at the end of June, airing Atlanta, Chicago, Sonoma, Dover, and ending their run with the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis. TNT’s stint will also include NASCAR’s new in-season tournament where a bracket will be utilized to narrow the field with the winning driver earning a $1 million dollar bonus.

NBC

NBC takes over in August with Iowa and will air every remaining race through the end of the year, including all ten playoff races via NBC or USA Network. This is also similar to previous seasons, but some races will also air on Peacock.

Practice and qualifying

Now, things get more complicated if you want to watch practice and qualifying. While FOX will have Cup practice and qualifying for the Daytona 500, Clash at Bowman Gray, and the All-Star Race, the rest of these on-track sessions will be elsewhere. Amazon Prime will have practice and qualifying for the first half of the year while the final half of the year can be streamed on Max or watched on truTV.

Xfinity and Trucks

Things are a bit simpler for the lower two national divisions. The CW will air all 33 NASCAR Xfinity races while FOX/FS1 will air all 25 NASCAR Truck races.
