Bikini Beans Coffee has released a statement after an employee filmed Nautica Malone without pants at a drive-thru in Tempe, Arizona. TMZ reports that the video quickly went viral, and Malone later committed self-harm. Nautica Malone reportedly died on Saturday, January 11, from an alleged self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, according to the New York Daily News.

Bikini Beans Coffee Speaks Out After Customer’s Death

Bikini Beans Coffee shared a message on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, Jan. 14, in response to Nautica Malone’s passing. The chain java shop offered prayers to Malone’s family but emphasized that protecting their employees remains their top priority.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the individual involved during this difficult time. This was an unfortunate and tragic situation. As a company, the safety of our employees is always our top priority. In this case, an individual chose to commit a crime at one of our locations. We take incidents like this very seriously and remain committed to protecting our team and maintaining a safe and respectful environment. Thank you for your continued support.”

Nautica Malone’s death happened just days after the incident at a Bikini Beans Coffee drive-thru. According to TMZ, Malone arrived at the drive-thru without pants, and an employee noticed his lack of clothing while taking his order. The employee then alerted the manager when Malone appeared at the window naked from the waist down.

Allegedly, the manager recorded a video of him at the drive-thru window while he engaged in a sexual act. The video was later shared on social media, sparking accusations of inappropriate behavior against Malone. Following the backlash, Malone reportedly drove to Goodyear, Arizona, and took his own life with a firearm, according to the Maricopa County Medical Examiner. TMZ also reported that on the night of Malone’s death, his family showed up at the coffee shop and confronted the staff. The family claimed Malone’s suicide was a direct result of the drive-thru incident.
