Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2025 Ready-to-Wear

The third time’s the charm over at Diane Von Furstenberg, which quietly rehired Nathan Jenden, who was the brand’s longtime Chief Design Officer and Vice President from 2000 to 2010, and returned briefly in 2018. The designer said he was happy to be back at his home-away-from-home. “For me coming back to DVF was not about me. It’s about the people,” he said. “And of course I’m so fond of Diane and Talita; I’ve known them both forever. And I have always understood the codes of the brand.”

Now Jenden’s mission is to bring back the DVF that women loved in the early 2000s while adding touches of modernity for the 2025 woman. “I wanted it to have that feel of Diane back in the day who was so beautiful, young, and ready to run the show in her outfits, which girls these days don’t exactly want to do now,” Jenden said. While back in the early 2000s you wouldn’t have seen a biker short in the collection, modern times mean you can get both your wrap dresses and sporty casual looks at DVF. Jenden also took staples like the classic jersey maxi dress beloved by Gen Z and gave it a fashionable touch by decking it out in sequins. Jenden made sure to add that his vision of womanhood is encompassing. “You know we’ve got to dress the Ballerina Farm ladies these days, as well,” he added. So don’t be surprised if next season we see DVF take on the prairie-core aesthetic.
