A viral speech by a Nepali student during his school’s annual program has gained widespread attention on social media. The student, Abiskar Raut, openly expressed his concerns about Nepal’s political and economic issues.
“Today, I stand here with a vision of creating a new Nepal. The flame of hope and passion burns in my heart, yet I feel a sense of sadness as this dream appears to be fading,” he said in the video that went viral.
Abiskar Raut expressed his powerful thoughts, saying, “I stand before you today to bring light to your consciousness, piercing through the dark cloud that hangs over us. I am here to make a mark of monumental change and shape the course of history.”
He continued, “Nepal, our mother, gave us life and nurtured us, but what did she ask in return? Just our honesty, hard work, and contributions. Yet, what are we doing in return?”
He criticised political parties for keeping the nation entrapped in their “selfish games,” pointing out the struggle Nepal faces because of such leadership.
