Sean Brady mocks Leon Edwards for tapping out as UFC London feud continues after stoppage

Sean Brady and Leon Edwards were still angry with each other even after their grudge fight came to an end.

It’s generally a custom in MMA for fighters to embrace and settle their feuds after a fight, but it seems that the UFC London main event was a bit different. Brady claims that the former champion was ‘still salty’ after he was dominated and submitted in a lacklustre main event.

Edwards struggled with the grappling of Brady over four rounds before he was put in a guillotine and tapped out. And the Philadelphia native joked that he would rather be put to sleep than submit in his home town.

Despite leaving it all in the octagon together, Sean Brady and Leon Edwards continued to have bad blood after UFC London. They refused to touch gloves before the opening stanza, and appear to still have a feud ongoing after their fight.

Brady was speaking with the media after the fight when he noted that he felt he had beaten Edwards better than current champion Belal Muhammad. And he included a pointed jab at his rival, adding: “I dominated Leon, won every round.

“Nobody’s ever did it like me and then I submitted him and made him quit in front of his home town. If we were in Philly you ain’t making me quit in front of my home town I’m telling you that. I’m going to sleep, son. So just remember that.”

Sean Brady backs Belal Muhammad at UFC 315 as he pushes for rematch

The sole defeat on Sean Brady’s record is an October 2022 effort against the current champion Belal Muhammad. He has actively supported his rival’s victories since then, noting that it makes his defeat age better with every bit of success Muhammad has.

While the champion defends his belt for the first time at UFC 315 against Jack Della Maddalena, it seems that Brady is pushing to be the next contender. “You tell me, is it a statement coming in here and beating Leon in his hometown?” he asked the media when quizzed about what’s next.

“I just dominated Gilbert Burns, I just dominated Leon Edwards, so I think I’m right there.” Muhammad struggled to decision wins over Burns and Edwards, while Brady comfortably defeated both, even stopping the former champion.
