Hope for Suikoden Fans as Suikoden 1 & 2 Remaster Sales Are ‘Extremely Strong’

The stars shine on

All of a sudden, the future’s looking a little brighter for Suikoden as a franchise.
During a dedicated Suikoden livestream earlier today, publisher Konami stated that sales of Suikoden 1&2 HD Remaster have been “extremely strong”, following its launch a couple of months back, on the 6th March.
The enhanced revivals were met with a lot of positivity from both critics and players, rekindling some genuine interest in the series for the first time in years — arguably even decades.
Of course, without any concrete sales data to go on, we’re left to fill in the blanks — but Konami’s clearly quite happy with how things are going.
Successful re-releases like this can result in increased optimism within companies, especially when it comes to long-buried properties. It’s possible that 1&2 HD Remaster’s popularity could help greenlight future Suikoden projects.

A little too much, some might say.
