The 2025 NFL Draft is officially in the books — and it delivered a rollercoaster of emotions!

One of the biggest shockers came when former Jackson State and Colorado star Shedeur Sanders, once projected as a sure-fire first-rounder, slid all the way to the fifth round. A tough break for the dynamic quarterback, but his story is far from over.

On the bright side, HBCU pride was alive and well! Alabama A&M’s Carson Vinson heard his name called by the Baltimore Ravens, proving once again that talent from Historically Black Colleges and Universities is undeniable.

History was made at the very top of the draft too. Travis Hunter — the electric two-way star — went No. 2 overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars! Hunter becomes the first player drafted with the plan to play both offense and defense at the NFL level. Jackson State fans, the “Thee I Love” family, were out in full force celebrating this groundbreaking moment.

And the Jaguars weren’t done! They doubled down by scooping up Bhayshul Tuten in the fourth round. The former North Carolina A&T Aggie and Virginia Tech Hokie showed enough explosiveness and grit on film to leave no doubt — he’s built for Sundays.

The future is bright, and history is being written. Let’s get it!
