Reliance Industries only Indian firm in Mary Meeker’s Global Tech Top 30 List

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has been featured in the Global Tech Top 30 list compiled by Mary Meeker, becoming the only Indian company to be included.

The list, largely dominated by global technology majors, also previously recognised Reliance as the only Indian firm among the top 30 most valuable global tech companies, citing its presence in artificial intelligence.

The top five companies on the list include Microsoft, NVIDIA, Apple, Amazon, and Alphabet — all headquartered in the United States. Other companies on the list are from Taiwan, China, the Netherlands, and South Korea.

In a statement, Reliance said the ranking was a “testament to decades of innovation, leadership, and nation-building.” Acknowledging the leadership of Mukesh Ambani, the company reiterated its focus on “the nation’s digital landscape.”

Reliance Industries, led by Mukesh Ambani, also became the first Indian firm to cross a net worth of ₹10 lakh crore (approximately $120 billion). In the January–March 2025 quarter, RIL reported a consolidated revenue growth of nearly 9% to ₹2.61 lakh crore, supported by strong performance in digital services and retail, which helped balance the challenges faced in the energy segment.
