MINNEAPOLIS — Oscar Gonzalez drove in four runs and the Cleveland Guardians came back from a four-run deficit to beat the Minnesota Twins 11-10 on Wednesday night at Target Field.

Gonzalez, the surprise rookie who was a Minor League free agent in the offseason, hit his second homer in three games to give Cleveland a 7-6 lead in the seventh. However, Minnesota countered with four runs in the bottom half of the frame to take control.

But the Guardians rallied again as the Twins tried to get a second inning out of reliever Emilio Pagán.

Amed Rosario and José Ramírez kicked off the ninth with singles, and Josh Naylor doubled to plate Rosario before Gonzalez followed with a two-run single of his own to tie the game at 10. Owen Miller plated Gonzalez with a sac fly to put Cleveland up for good.

Sam Hentges (1-0) picked up the win with a scoreless eighth and Emmanuel Clase closed out the ninth to secure the win and his 17th save.

With the win, the Guardians lead the AL Central by one game. Cleveland has now won its seventh straight series and is putting the finishing touches on a 7-1 road trip.
