Beck dances night away at NYC club after playing Carnegie Hall
After we reported that rocker Axl Rose was partying at Nolita basement speakeasy the Mulberry — a favorite Taylor Swift haunt — Beck let loose at the same venue following his performance at Carnegie Hall on Tuesday night.
The “Loser” singer hung out in the club’s VIP Whisper Room — which has also hosted stars like Janet Jackson, Chris Rock and Alicia Silverstone.
Beck, however, didn’t spend his night tucked away behind the curtains. We’re told he hit the dance floor with clubgoers!
A source described Beck’s energy as “fun calm vibes, cool guy.” “He was just letting loose on the dance floor,” they said.
DJ Gabe Nelson spun at Mulberry’s Tuesday “Late Late” party, and we’re told Beck specifically grooved to Fat Boy Slim.
The cocktail club has become a stomping ground for musicians to let their hair down after a show.
After Beck played Madison Square Garden last year, he hit the Mulberry for a secret show.
At the club, he even got a little help from Jon Hamm to belt out the Cars 1978 hit, “Just What I Needed.”
Hamm apparently impressed the crowd of music heavy hitters like the Strokes’ Julian Casablancas, the Black Keys’ Patrick Carney, the Moldy Peaches’ Adam Green and members of the Arctic Monkeys.
“He really added some Hamm-bience,” joked one guest at the time.
Beck has described the Mulberry as “NYC’s Viper Room,” referring to the iconic Hollywood spot once owned by Johnny Depp.
