Between his years in the Apprentice boardroom, working in the oval office and helming rallies on the campaign trail, Donald Trump is used to generating headlines.
And he’s set to make a few more as he takes the oath of office as the 47th president of the United States on Inauguration Day Jan. 20, assuming the position from Joe Biden. JD Vance will also be sworn in as Vice President, taking on the role from Kamala Harris following her loss against Trump in the 2024 presidential election.
However, Trump—who was also the 45th president—isn’t the only one in his family who’s in the public eye. After all, his kids Donald Trump Jr., 47; Ivanka Trump, 43; and Eric Trump, 41 (with his late, first wife Ivana Trump), Tiffany Trump, 31 (with his second wife Marla Maples) and Barron Trump, 18 (with current wife Melania Trump) all live public lives, too. What’s more, The Apprentice alum, 78, has 10 grandchildren and one on the way, having revealed Tiffany’s pregnancy during an October speech.
And while many of his kids have taken part in the family business—from being real estate executives to advisors during his administration—he has expressed how he’s considered keeping his kids out of political positions during his second term in the Oval Office.
“I said, ‘That’s enough for the family,’” he told Fox News’ Bret Baier in June 2023, per NBC News. “It’s too painful for the family. My family has been through hell.”
During his legal battles—Trump, who has denied any wrongdoing, was sentenced to an unconditional discharge on Jan. 10 less than eight months after he was convicted in New York on 34 counts of falsifying business records—and assassination attempts against him, his family’s support remained constant.

“When I watched that violent bullet strike my husband Donald, I realized that my life and Barron’s life, were on the brink of devastating change,” Melania wrote in a statement after the July 13 shooting at a Pennsylvania rally. “I am grateful to the brave secret service agents and law enforcement officials who risked their own lives to protect my husband.”
